Terms of Service

Chapter 1: General Provisions

Article 1: Purpose

  1. These terms specify the conditions and procedures for using the web services operated by "Demaf" (hereinafter referred to as "Demaf").
  2. Please fully understand the contents of membership registration before joining. These terms apply to all members using the web services operated by Demaf, and it is your responsibility to read and understand them.

Article 2: Notification and Effectiveness of Terms

  1. The contents of these terms take effect by being posted on the web service screen or notified to members by other means.
  2. Demaf may change these terms, and the changed terms take effect by being notified in the same manner as in Paragraph 1.
  3. Membership registration means agreeing to the conditions and regulations of the web services provided by Demaf. Demaf reserves the right to change all or part of the conditions and clauses of the web services with or without notice. You cannot object to these changes due to delayed response or lack of notification, so please be careful to avoid misunderstandings in the future.

Article 3: Supplementary Rules

Matters not specified in these terms are governed by the Basic Telecommunications Act, Telecommunications Business Act, Basic Electronic Transactions Act, Electronic Signature Act, Telecommunications Sales Act, and other related laws.

Article 4: Definitions of Terms

The definitions of terms used in these terms are as follows:

  1. Member: A person who has entered into a contract to use Demaf's web services.
  2. ID: A combination of letters and numbers selected by the member and approved by Demaf for member identification and service use.
  3. Password: A combination of letters and numbers selected by the member to protect their privacy in communication.
  4. Withdrawal: The member's expression of intent to terminate the service use contract.

Chapter 2: Service Use Agreement

Article 1: Formation of Use Agreement

  1. Clicking the "Agree" button after reading these terms during service subscription is considered agreement to these terms.
  2. The use agreement is established when the member completes the input of personal information and selects "Complete."
  3. Those wishing to join as members and use the service must provide personal information requested by Demaf.
  4. The use agreement is, in principle, established with one ID per member.

Article 2: Application for Use

The application for use follows the online subscription form.

Article 3: Approval of Application

Approval is granted when the member accurately fills out all items specified in Article 2 of Chapter 2.

Article 4: Non-Approval of Application

  1. Demaf may refuse registration or modify/delete member information without notice in the following cases:
    1. Using another person's name for application.
    2. Providing false information during application.
    3. Applying with the intent to disrupt public order or morals.
    4. Being registered as a credit delinquent under the Credit Information Use and Protection Act.
    5. Other reasons attributable to the applicant that make approval difficult.
  2. Demaf may delay approval until the reasons for restriction are resolved in the following cases:
    1. Insufficient facility capacity.
    2. Technical difficulties.
    3. Other reasons deemed necessary by Demaf.
  3. Demaf must notify the applicant if the application is not approved or approval is restricted.

Article 5: Changes to Contract Details

Members must update their information online if there are changes to the details provided during application.

Article 6: Sharing Member Information

  1. Member information may be shared in cases of partnership, acquisition, spin-off, or merger for better services.
  2. Information may be shared with sponsors during events offering prizes.
  3. Demaf must notify members of such occurrences in cases of 1 and 2.

Article 7: Use of Additional Member Information

Demaf uses additional member information provided during community service use for management and statistical purposes only.

Article 8: Provision of Information

Demaf may provide members with information about service use, events, or information services via email or postal mail.

Article 9: Protection of Personal Information

  1. Demaf must obtain consent from users when collecting personal information.
  2. Demaf is responsible for any damages caused by unauthorized use, loss, theft, leakage, or alteration of personal information, except for cases specified in Article 6 of Chapter 2.

Chapter 3: Service Use

Article 1: Service Use

Service use is available 24/7, year-round, unless there are special technical or operational issues. However, services may be temporarily suspended for regular maintenance or improvements, as deemed necessary by Demaf, with prior notice.

Article 2: Suspension of Service

Demaf may suspend service provision in the following cases:

  1. When maintenance of facilities is unavoidable.
  2. When telecommunications service is suspended by a licensed telecommunications operator under the Telecommunications Business Act.
  3. When other reasons arise that make service provision impossible.

Article 3: Deletion of File Information and Member Rights

  1. Demaf may delete member information and personal data if deemed necessary due to insufficient facility capacity.
  2. Demaf may inspect member information and personal data without prior notice if deemed problematic for service operation or security.
  3. In cases under Paragraph 1, Demaf will notify members in advance via service or email.

Chapter 4: Service Restrictions and Termination

Article 1: Service Restrictions

  1. Members must avoid the following actions during service use, and service use may be restricted in such cases:
    1. Unauthorized use of another member's ID.
    2. Engaging in criminal activities or activities related to crimes.
    3. Actions that harm public order or morals.
    4. Defaming or insulting others.
    5. Infringing on others' intellectual property rights.
    6. Hacking or spreading computer viruses.
    7. Sending unsolicited advertising information or content against others' will.
    8. Any actions that may disrupt the safe operation of the service.
    9. Other actions violating applicable laws.

Article 2: Termination of Contract

  1. Members wishing to terminate the service use contract must apply to Demaf at least one day before the desired termination date (or two days before if the termination date is a public holiday).
  2. Demaf may terminate the service use contract if members violate the contents of Article 1 of Chapter 4 and fail to resolve the issue within the specified period.
  3. Members whose contracts are terminated under Paragraph 2 may face restrictions on reapplying for service use for a certain period.

Chapter 5: Responsibility

Article 1: Member Obligations

  1. Members are responsible for managing their ID and password.
  2. IDs and passwords cannot be transferred, rented, or loaned to others without prior approval from Demaf.
  3. If a member's ID is used fraudulently, the member must notify Demaf immediately.
  4. Members must notify Demaf of any changes to the information provided during the application process through the service.
  5. Members must comply with these terms and applicable laws.

Article 2: Demaf's Obligations

  1. Demaf must provide services as specified in these terms, except in cases outlined in Chapter 3, Articles 1 and 2.
  2. Demaf must provide continuous and stable services as outlined in these terms. However, Demaf is not responsible for any loss of member information due to unavoidable circumstances.
  3. Demaf will not disclose or distribute members' personal information without their consent, except as required by law or government requests.
  4. Demaf must promptly address valid opinions or complaints from members. If immediate resolution is not possible, Demaf must notify the member of the reason and the expected resolution timeline.

Article 3: Deletion of Posts or Content

Demaf may delete posts or content that violate Chapter 4, Article 1, or exceed the specified posting period without prior notice or consent.

Chapter 6: Compensation and Disclaimer

Article 1: Compensation

Demaf is not responsible for any damages incurred during service use unless caused by gross negligence on Demaf's part.

Article 2: Disclaimer

  1. Demaf is exempt from liability for service provision in cases of force majeure, such as natural disasters.
  2. Demaf is not responsible for service disruptions caused by members' actions.
  3. Demaf is not liable for expected profits or damages resulting from data obtained through the service.
  4. Demaf is not responsible for the reliability or accuracy of information posted by members.
  5. Members are responsible for damages caused by negligence in managing their ID and password or unauthorized use by third parties.
  6. Members who violate these terms and cause damages to Demaf or third parties must compensate Demaf for all damages incurred.

Chapter 7: Community Use

Article 1: Community Use Restrictions

  1. Demaf operates community services to allow users to express their opinions and share common interests.
  2. The following actions may restrict community use, but are not limited to these:
    1. Violating, abusing, misusing, threatening, or harassing others' privacy, publicity rights, or other legal rights.
    2. Publishing, posting, distributing, or disseminating inappropriate, defamatory, infringing, obscene, vulgar, or illegal titles, names, materials, or information.
    3. Uploading files containing software or other materials protected by intellectual property laws without proper authorization or consent.
    4. Uploading materials containing viruses, corrupted files, or similar software that may damage others' computers.
    5. Advertising or selling products or services for commercial purposes.
    6. Conducting surveys, contests, pyramid schemes, or sending chain letters.
    7. Downloading files posted by other community users that cannot be legally distributed.
    8. Forging or removing author attributions, legal notices, or trademarks from uploaded files.
    9. Restricting or prohibiting other users from using or enjoying the community.
    10. Posting content that violates public order, morals, or promotes specific religions, regionalism, or other inappropriate topics.
  3. Demaf reserves the right to terminate access to the community at any time without notice for any reason.

Article 2: Demaf's Responsibilities

  1. Demaf is not obligated to monitor the community but reserves the right to disclose information or remove content to comply with applicable laws or regulations.
  2. Users should exercise caution when sharing identifiable information about themselves or their children in the community.
  3. Demaf disclaims responsibility for community content or incidents arising from community participation.

Chapter 8: Miscellaneous

Article 1: Changes to Terms

Changes to the terms must be notified at least 7 days in advance, and 30 days in advance if unfavorable to consumers.

Article 2: Dispute Resolution

  1. Demaf and members must make every effort to resolve disputes related to the service amicably.
  2. If disputes cannot be resolved, the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent court under the Civil Procedure Act applies.

Supplementary Provisions

Effective Date: Amendments take effect from February 1, 2023.
